I've been buying some boards recently to fill out my new 6-in-1 multijamma. One of the pcbs I plugged in had some capacitors (i think) that fell off the board. I plugged it in not realizing it and when I turned it on there was a brief burning smell and I noticed at least one of my fuses was blown. I have a feeling I could have put the harness on backwards too, although I'm not sure. I was distracted by my dog....

Now, no games will turn on in my cabinet when I connect them directly through the Jamma harness.

The monitor is still getting power because it shows a light briefly when I turn it off. The board doesn't seem to power up though. I know this because the multijamma has lights on it and they do not come up. When I plug a previously working board directly into the harness the screen stays blank, there are no sounds and nothing happens basically.

Did I really screw things up? Will it be safe for my boards to just plug in another fuse and power up like normal?

DO NOT:
PLUGE INSERT, MOORE BOARDS UNTIL PROPER CONNECTIONS AND VOLTAGES VERIFY

PlEaSe.

what should i do?

unplug from wall

verify all wiring

measure all voltages and report values

look for burnt wire/connections/shiliding as well as any newly exposed wire(s)

Look for anything that MAY cause a short

measre each side of fuse holder (unplugged) to ground (short)....measure with low ohms or beep/diode test.
