I put painters tape on my newly painted DK cab, then tried painting the sides black.. its bled through in two spots.. Help.. What do I do??

Sometimes you can scrape it off with a razor blade. It depends how well the new paint adheres to the paint underneath. Otherwise you'd have to mask the side and touch up the blue in that area.

I kinda got it fixed.. my edges always suck.. I touched it up.. it likes OK.. but still nothing great.

I took that front panel off and painted everything separately.
It is a lot of work but well worth it.
Do this if you ever decide to repaint the cab again.
If you tape off an area like that remember to burnish the edge real good so paint can't bleed under it.

I use regular masking tape, just don't leave it on for days. The trick is you must push and smooth the tape edge down, using pressure from a putty knief or flat bladed tool in order to stop bleeding.

Same concept when masking and taping a room to paint...

With either kind of tape, you can see air bubbles under the tape before you push it down with a blade. Watch them disappear as you push down and you know you wont have bleeding.

That is called burnishing the edge.
I learned to do that painting models.

Frog tape is what i used, it worked pretty good, except in that one spot, which there was prolly some standing paint. Next time I will take that front panel off, the edge isnt very clean, and a tiny bit of white primer is visible in the crack.
