Blasteroids question

i capped mine before i gave it away, but i can't remember.. odd monitor

That's my concern. I can get one with a dead monitor. The monitor is a Sanyo and the guy wants to keep it as I dont believe the Sanyo is the monitor that it came with. I can get a replacement monitor... G07, WG4600, WG4900

It might be original. Atari used a version of the Sanyo in some of their machines. Should be very similar to the Nintendo Sanyo, only it runs on 120v and takes standard non-inverted video.

But, debating which monitor is "original" is moot - Atari (and most manufacturers) frequently used different monitors throughout the production run of particular games.

Atari did use some really crummy monitors in some games though - the infamous Disco monitor, and the Matsushita.

+1

All the Blasteroids machines I've seen have the Sanyo. Atari used them in several of their late 80s, early 90s machines.
