So I've decided against blacklight carpet in the short term (will probably get blacklight area rug(s) down the road) but was curious if people have used blacklight paint in their gamerooms/arcades?

Would love to see pics!

Playland not at the Beach in El Cerrito, CA has a room with some cool blacklight paint. Pics can't do justice.

I beleive there is a guy here named "Empire" who did some badass Black light paintings and characters on his gameroom wall.

looking for accent stuff you know? Like creating a stripe or painting pipes etc...I doubt I'll have a flaming tiger wrapped in an american flag or anything...

Just out of curiosity, is your gameroom indoors on carpet or outdoors on concrete (like a garage)?

I'm in a very similar situation actually - I have my walls painted black, black carpet and blacklights. I actually JUST today bought some Rustoleum Fluorescent neon green spray paint to play with. I just hit some on a piece of cardboard and MAN does it POP in blacklight. I have a plan to make some killer DIY art with it. Once I do it I'll share it with everyone - it will be cheap and should look great.

I was also thinking about using this same paint on the edge of the shelving I am installing in my gameroom this weekend - it should make a nice glowing line all the way around the room. Seems like it would be great to use it with some arcade stencils on the wall.

Related - has anyone tried these from gamestencils.com in a room lit by blacklight? Space Invaders and Asteroids

That is sweet!!

I like the carpet too. That is one of the two patterns available in tiles from Flagship carpet. I was never sure if I'd like it since I'd never seen it installed before. I DO like it! I might have to go with that pattern. I love the idea of tiles. Easy install/removal/cleaning.

We just moved into our new house about 4 months ago and I knew from the start of construction that our garage was going to be the best place to actually let the collection grow and have the allowable wall space for me to paint what I wanted to on the walls. I figured I could either line the walls with shelving to store my toy collection (and it was for a short time) or I could make the room really feel less like a garage and more like an actual arcade. So I painted the walls and ceiling a dark blue color called Starry Sky and swapped the standard fluorescent lights for 4 foot blacklight tubes. Grabbed whatever "neon" titled paint color I could find and went to it. I'd choose an 8-bit character/design and mask it off onto the wall at whatever size I felt like. I'm basically just going to slowly let the murals grow to being a full hodge podge of just random classic arcade imagery. The Gorfian was my most recent addition.

Damn that looks sweet!
I wish I had high ceilings like that too!

I was messing around with some of that blacklight paint from spencers, this was my first attempt, still planning the future design..
