Black Vinyl is a pain in the @$$

The worst thing for me with vinyl (especially black vinyl) is that you have to sand that mother down sooooo smooth. Any little scratch, dust particle or paint bubble makes it look terrible. Paint is way more forgiving.

So when you lay the vinyl, do you overhang the edge a little, maybe to the opening of the T-molding slot, and then let the T-molding overlap and 'seal' the edge once installed? If so, is there any issue of wringle around rounded corners?

I have a digdug cab that has decent side art, but the current game isn't digdug, and I'm thinking of putting on vinyl to cover it up as it has some scratches and other blemishes aside from not being 'correct'. If one wanted to make it dig dug again, seems pulling off the vinyl would be an option later.

Finally, where's the best place to buy vinyl locally?

Thanks

It seems as most people dont tuck the Vinyl I didnt tuck mine. But I did try a spot and this vinyl does tuck nicley but if your edge is not even or ate up at all it doesnt look good but I did go with the untucked method.

Ok so I applied the Black Vinyl to the other side over the weekend using Rich's method with the cabinet lying down. I would say that is 70% easier and it only took me about 30 minutes this time.So I'm getting quicker.I also should have more T-molding for the otherside today or tomorrow on my front porch after work so I can finish this project up and take some pictures :) with my cell phone of course since my digital camera died.I found out there is a recall for it from cannon so I have to send it to them :(

I know, there was a few spots in the very back which dont really show and my games are jammed packed in there anyway. It came out really nice though.
