I have several issues with this BK I've been trying to get going.

The MPU had really bad acid damage so I got a Rottendog board for it. I also rebuilt the power supply board with a kit from Big Daddy.

At first I was having issues with the F7 GI fuse blowing but I finally traced that to a smoking socket on the upper playfield. I disconnected the wires from the bulb socket and put electrical tape over them for now and once doing so I was able to get GI.

Now with GI and the F7 fuse not blowing, I was going through putting GI bulbs in (since I had taken them all out as part of my search for why the fuse kept blowing) and as I was putting one in, it blinked and then entire GI went out. The F7 fuse is still good but after checking the bulb I was working on, it looks good and I can't get GI to come back...

Any ideas?

Last time I had this kind of issue, the GI fuse checked good in socket but was in fact bad when I finally pulled it. Just a thought.

Look at the lamp socket that you were placing a bulb in under the playfield and maybe trace that wire to make sure it isn't bare anywhere and/or shorting to anything. It sounds to me like that particular socket would be suspet if it happened as you were replacing that bulb. Also, as a general rule of thumb, I always check the connectors on the boards relating to GI power becuase these often get burnt up and tarnished over time - espeically the older games that sat on for hours in arcades.

Check the molex connector coming off the power supply for the GI. Those burn up all the time. The connector is hard soldered onto the board, check for cold solder on that as well as the fuse.
