Hello,

I've got quite the saga on my BK2K. My pop bumpers have given up. The original PCB had battery damage which caused a series of failures. I had it repaired, but the problems persisted. I tried cleaning it myself & replacing the ICs inline with the pops - no change. While building a new S11B mpu from DumbAss (on Pinside), I'm borrowing a Pinbot computer to keep the game working on my arcade floor. Intermittently, the pop bumpers would work. They have power (work in coil test), but the pop switches do not register. The slings & other special solenoids all work (& have consistently). *Pops do not work consistently in game OR test, whether actuated by hand or not. Coils do have power*

According to the switch matrix, I cannot see a reason only the pops wouldn't work.

I've reflowed the solder & checked for continuity from 1) pop switch to interconnect board under the playfield, 2) playfield board to backbox interconnect board, & 3) backbox interconnect to the computer. There is continuity from the computer to the switch with no cracked solder. Initially these woes started when the pop fired infinitely getting stuck, but I've had the pops working since then (that was on the old board too). I've also snipped the blue cap on the left pop in hopes that would cause it stay locked on in active test - no avail.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I cannot figure out what's consistent with the game here.
