running my bk470 on a cr-23 tube and i get my read emmision alway in the bad region...using the controls i can only make it rise a little bit more into the bad region. is this fixed by a rejuve? if so do i rejuve then go back and check the emmision and if its still bad rejuve again?

Thinking about the missing colors?
Is it red no blue,no green Etc..
Compare to the emission test are they related?
No red in picture and red very low reading on the test?
green and blue test weak but better..That would mean
clean the red cathode first..balance out all three
don't jump to rej in my opinion clean cathodes first..
Rej can short it out and theres no more tubes left to buy..
If still won't balance out then juvenate the last choice but maybe needed.
Don't forget to Discharge Tube before hooking up Crt Tester.
Is the crt the problem, not a good idea to rej just because..
Let us know what you find..

I've only used the 467 and 490, not the 470, but it looks like it does the same thing in different ways.

Hopefully you got the manual on proper usage? You shouldn't be moving knobs on the "read emissions" setting to try to get a better reading.

Usually, you set the heater voltage (6.3 for a CR-23 usually), then set the cutoff limits, then you check the read emissions to see what they are. The do a rejuv first, then a clean/balance. Then go back and reset the cutoffs, then check the read emissions again. Rejuv again as necessary...
