So I know I need to repair the connector and the pins on the board.

Here's my next question. Anyone with a BK2K that can look at their GI connector?

For some reason, this just seems odd to me:

Thanks!

For future searchers, here is the answer to my question (From John Wart, Jr. via RGP)

That is correct. Pins 1-4 are tied together, Pin 5 is the key, and pins 6-9 are tied together.
1 wire from transformer goes to pin #1 and loops to pin #2
Next wire from transformer goes to pin #3 and loops to pin #4
#5 is the Key
Next transformer wire goes to pin #6 and loops to pin #7
Last wire from transformer goes to pin #8 and loops to pin #9.

Thank you John for the answer. Not sure why they did it like this, but I guess it works!
