I can get a c-70 or a bk 490 for about the same price... Bk has the 23 adapter and a couple others, sencore has all that came with it plus universal...

Which is better? 490 looks like you can see 3 at once (guages), but its not like i will use this every day...

I've never used the sencore, but I really like the BK 490 we have at work. I bought a BK 467 for myself, which operates about the same...

I've never used that particular Sencore product but will tell you that I find their designs/quality on their older scopes turned me off to their brand.

B&K really puts together some nice quality gear, but you pay through the nose for it.

I have a couple standard color tubes to do, and a black and white 23inch one in a sprint2.. Would the 23 adapter work for both applications?
Thing i like about the cr-70 is the universal adapter... But its not like i have more than about 3 tubes to do...

You can always build a CR-X universal adapter for the BK fairly easily. The CR-23 won't do the black & white, no....

The black and whites CRTs use cr-6. At least all the ones I have run into do. It's always a good idea to double check the setup guide though.

I have a CR7000. Its the step up from the CR70. I like it. Plus you can sign up for their website to search tubes rather than using a manual.

I think i'm gonna get the cr-70 since it has everything... the bk has 3 adapters (the 23) but is missing ones I need..and both are about the same price. After I get the cr-70 i'll post the link for the bk490 as its 100$obo which seems like a pretty fair deal.

I have a CR-70 (picked up on ebay for ~$60, looks like new, has all adapters & manuals). So far, it does everything that I've needed.

I have used a CR-7000. They're nice, but spendy.

I have a couple of the sencore cr-70s. Love them. Full speed of adapters for a multitude of physical neck sizes plus a universal..if the unit is complete. Set up on the console, not hard wired in the adapter, for virtually any tube. The downside is you have a lot of dial flipping to see and do everything. For me..the flexability is worth it.
