I'm going to be picking up an Omega Race mini hopefully in the next week or so here and it seems like it's in decent condition except it's missing a PCB.
I've been looking for a set without much battery acid damage and have found a couple but they were well out of my financial range.
I came across a seller on eBay that sells *TONS* of PCBs and he listed two Omega Race PCBs, one description mentioned acid damage... one did not. I wrote about the set that didn't mention it to make sure there wasn't any obvious damage. The seller responded "none that I can see thanks". I put an offer of $66 on it(he wanted $75) and he accepted. No problem and I was very happy.
I received the boards this past week and first thing I notice when I open up the package is obvious battery acid damage around where the battery was installed. I mean, it's obvious. My wife can see it, my 9 year old son can see it, and even my 6 year old daughter can see it... it's that obvious.
So, I immediately write the guy asking if there was a mistake... maybe he sent the wrong PCB set as he was selling two and I can completely understand that happening. No problem just let me know.
No response.
So now, now I just wrote him again through eBay so there is some proof that I'm trying to contact him in case I need to do a claim.
In his description he stated that there are no returns or refunds period. I was completely ok with that as long as I received the item he said I was going to receive. Except in this case I don't feel I did because he said "none that I can see thanks" to my question.
Am I wrong? Or is it really a simple matter of getting an item that is not as described and it should be made right?
Just curious what others think. Thanks.
