So my wife has had a room of the house closed off for the past week or so. She said she had something in there for my birthday and I wasnt allowed to go in. So I waited patiently until today (I know I know, my b-day is tomm, but we had her parents over and they gave me stuff early) and she pulled everything out all wrapped up.
They were making a big deal out of one of the presents, but I had no clue what was in it. I could tell it was something interesting when the inlaws grabbed for a camera when I went to open it. So I open it up, and what do I find?

A Hand-made arcade sign, with 8-bit style lettering. She used small cutout tiles that were glued down and grouted to write out "David's Arcade" and made an 8bit Ryu Hyabusa (partly for my favorite nes games being the Ninja Gaiden games, and my first arcade machine being a Rampage converted to a Ninja Gaiden).
What else was in the haul? I also unwrapped the usual type polo shirts and stuff along with another couple gem's in the lot - A Tron t-shirt and a Fluke 117 meter. That meter will come in handy as im trying to teach myself to fix this stuff (probably somewhat to the dismay of the more experienced techs here as ill be asking more questions!!).
All in all, id say its been a pretty good night!!
