I found one for sale recently....More curious about the cabinet its in.... I have owned a BK2 before but it was in the centuri-style cabinet. Curious if the blue taito classic cabinet was used for any other games, the side design and bezel are kinda cool.

It was the standard cabinet for Japanese-built Taito games around that time for Space Seeker, etc. Some even came with generic "VIDEO GAME" marquees with a little space where you could write the game title on a piece of paper to slip behind the marquee's open space.

Not to be confused with the U.S.-built Crazy Climer/Polaris type cabinets.

A different variation was used earlier with different speaker placements, later ones were green. Defender came in a red version of that cabinet.

I recall the crazy climber I had (white version) sort of had the shape of this blue cabinet but the wood quality was so light and cheap.... Can you remember if those earlier taito cabs were also made the same cheap way?

I've never owned the Crazy Climber type Taito cabinets so I can't comment there, but the cabinet pictured here is made out of thin plywood a-la Nintendo cabinets and doesn't feel cheap (unless Nintendo cabs feel cheap :))

P.S. I need that bezel if anybody has one :D
