I just designed a JAMMA adapter for Birdie King II and for some reason it seems a little weak when I send the ball horizontally left and right. I believe I wired correctly given it's going in the right directions so what's the problem? Bad sensor on the trackball? It's a standard 2 1/2" trackball by Happ I think.

I know everyone will be wracking their brains given BKII is the Zaxxon of golf games but personally I've always liked it. :)

Swap the sensors and see if the issue follows.

Zaxxon is fun. Birdie King 2 is fun. :)

Yeah I've never gotten the animosity towards either game, especially Zaxxon which while not something I normally play it was innovative for its time. Oddly enough I like Super Zaxxon better. :)

I'll try that with the sensors, in hindsight it's the first thing I should have tried, though part of me was wondering if it was a slight Taito/Happ compatibility problem.

Following as my BKII also has weak horizontal response, but with the factory harness/setup. I swear i tried swapping the optic boards in the trackball but i may have only reflowed the pins and was too lazy to take it back apart. . .
