I've got 82s123 and 82s129 COMPATIBLE proms for sale.

These are INTERSIL brand proms.

I've got an overstock of IM5610 ( = 82s123) and IM5623 ( = 82s129) for sale.

[ NB. These are FULLY compatible with 82s123 and 82s129 proms,
but not all programmers will burn these.
The Data I/O 29B will, but check to see if your programmer does. ]

To keep this simple (...for me.. ;-),
I'm selling these in lots of 10 proms for $25US SHIPPED (...in North America).

ie, 10 for $25, 20 for $50, 40 for $100, etc....

Mix and match is fine.

[NB. Also willing to trade for 2716 and 2732 eproms ]

Offer good until Thursday July 1st (11:59pm)
(..or until overstock sells out...)

I'm going to my US PO Box on Friday July 2nd
so I will ship ALL orders on that day .

PM me if interested.

Thanks ,
Steph

Got a list of common games these go with. I don't have proms committed to memory and they are bit of a pia to look up.... and I'm lazy.

Lots of Atari games use these, I do know that.

Seems those 2716's and 2732's must be hard to come by, huh? I thought maybe I could trade some 2732s but I don't have many myself. 2764s on the other hand...

All eproms seem to be getting harder to find.

I just happen to use ALOT of 2716 and 2732 because most
of the early classics use those, ...and those are the games
most people feel are worth restoring.

That said, I've been getting alot requests for VS. games lately
so 2764's are also in pretty high demand, so I'd be OK to trade for those as well.

PM me if you're interested.

Thanks,
Steph

No support listed for these on a Unisite. :( I did try programming the IM5623 using the Phillips 82S129 algorithm and it failed. Maybe there's another algorithm to use.

Do you think or know if my Data I/O 29A will burn the IM5623/82s129 as well? I will need to check my 29A tonight when I get off work. I am pretty sure i am down for 20 of these.

Unfortunately, the Intersil proms require a fairly large current to burn the fuses,
so it needs a programmer with alot of AC horsepower.

The Data I/O 29B is basically one big power supply so it can handle these,
but most other (smaller) programmers can't provide enough current to "burn" them.
( although I'm surprised that the Unisite doesn't support those...)

That's why using a different prom setting (like Philips) won't work.

I would "think" that the 29A would support these,
but I don't know for sure.

The biggest difference between the 29A and 29B
is memory and buffer size ( the 29B can do much larger size chip ).

But since we're talking 32 or 256 byte proms, I don't think that's an issue.

But check the device list to be sure...

By the way, for those looking for this device type on their Data I/O,
Instersil is sometimes listed as ISL (...as with the Promlink software for the 29B ).

Look at Unisite to see if that might also be the case.

Cheers,
Steph

The Data I/O 29x is a large noisy beast but still can't be beat for reliably programming the early stuff. :D

I just confirmed that my 29A with the plain UniPak will burn these with promlink 2.6 software.

I also fired up promlink 3.4 and it will burn these as well with any 29 but you need the unipak 2b because promlink 3.4 does not support the first unipak.
