Bionic Commando

Cabinet and Hardware:

Brand new freshly cut black melamine cabinet
Stripped and powder coated: brackets, coin door, speaker mesh
Internal metal parts - cleaned and painted as needed
Bolts - polished
New T-molding
New Locks
New Vinyl Levelers
New Speakers

Cosmetics:

Control Panel Overlay: This was a LOT of work. Scanned in my original faded, yellowish green control panel. Pieced it back together. Fixed all the distortions. Made color corrections to match the the bezel. Took 4 tries to get the colors right. Too red, too magenta, too yellow, not red enough…you get the idea. Printed by Todd at (www.arcadeoverlays.com)

See the process here:

Side Art: Another big task but not as bad. Scanned in, fixed the tears, dirt, fading etc. in photoshop, then created a plotter line in illustrator to contour cut the edges.

With these jamma kit games, since you're making new cabinets, you don't even really have to buy an original game right? Except for the control panel...

There just doesn't seem to be many modular-style dynamos out there anymore...you're making the cabinets, if someone could make just the metal control panels then people like me with complete kits laying around could be in business

Not exactly, i need the control panel, the art if its in good shape or in good enough shape to reproduce, but also the rest; monitor, wires, brackets, coin door, power supply etc.

I'm working on getting custom control panels built.

From one artist to another.
Great job on the stitching! I'm already hours deep trying to put a Karnov CP
together.(then my computer died) Got a backup on the way.

Stitching, cleaning, sizing, color matching & dealing with them damn
Half tones take mega hours.

Awesome looking cabinet Dan.

Job well done.

Half tones look great.
