Ok probably not the "biggest", but here's the story. We're having a BBQ for my 4yr old nephew on Friday, and we have a decent sized yard with a large, kinda wierd apartment building on one side that is owned by a family friend. My nephew is a bit advanced and is huge into Star Wars right now, so we're having a Star Wars themed party.

Earlier I was digging out my PA system for some tunes for the party, and came across a video projector my friend suckered me into buying. Mind you this isn't you're boss' portable Infocus *evil grin*.

Anyhow I had this bright idea that it would be so cool to have the attract mode of the Star Wars game projected onto a wall, so I dragged the projector out, and for kicks just aimed it out the window at the apartment building. Fired up Mame, fired up the projector, and my jaw hit the floor. The picture..was the size of the ENTIRE apartment building.

Anyhow so as to not scare/annoy or otherwise cause his one tenant to call the cops over strange colors in the window, I had to scale it down as small as I could get it, which was about a 30 ft picture. I tried to take a pic with my camera but it was tough to pick up in the dark. The bright light you see...is his storm door window, to put things in perspective. If you look hard you can see the roof line.

It looks very dim in the picture, but trust me, it was very very visible :)

Lastly - if anyone can point me at a youtube vid, or downloadable vid, or dvd, or whatever, of a Star Wars light show, laser show, etc that has a black background, PLEEEASE let me know! I'm going to coordinate with the neighbors and suprise him :)

I used to have an HD projector and I'd play all my games through it , like MAME , Wii.... so yes I can understand the HUGE picture that it projects on that wall !!

Projectors Rule !!!

hahahahaha! brought back some memories when I worked in Student Government at FAU. I was one of the IT guys and had access to the projectors, so one night after the Student Union was closed I brought down our projector and start projecting PS2 games right onto the side of the building.

Such fun!

A while back I rigged a connection for my original nintendo on my 106" screen. It was pretty fun playing all the old classics. Heck Mario was about 10" tall.

I'm planning this summer to take the PJ outside with a spare system for a couple of movie nights. I think I can rig a screen from a couple of bedsheets and hang it on the one wall of the house. :)

Take some video of it during the party and post it up. Looks good so far.

I seen some pic of someone projecting porn on the side of a building recently. It was a large apartment building. LOL

I have a 100" set up in my basement, it rocks for dreamcast game.

Hi Jeff,
Did I show you the 200" screen I have set up on the back of the carriage house/garage when you were here? Set it up to test for the PigRoast and left it up since it was only a month away.
Its a piece of tyvek home wrap (did a google search on screen material and many people use tyvek for their indoor screens) 16' long 9'high
Once it gets dark it looks amazing with HD.

I bought a Planar 7060 projector and a 100" screen for in my house last year.

So I found one or two Star Wars tributes that I think will do...and since cleared it with the neighbor that owns the building. He actually came outside that night but didn't say much - turned out his dog was sick so he had his hands full but I guess its ironic that he's used to me...didn't even blink an eye that his entire building had video on it.

I'll get a better pic of the projector...I didn't really even want it (I already have in Infocus) but the guy was desperate to sell it (it came in the original HUUUGE box), and as soon as I saw the plugs on it I had little geek hearts in my eyes. This thing has more inputs than half the tvs in my house combined! It also heated my kitchen up pretty decently for the 30 min I had it on. I know a lot of projectors are capable of making a big picture but this is the first time I've had one make movie-theater sized picture (probably 70-80 ft wide at least). This projector is a monster, it does have a handle but prob weighs 40-50 pounds. The lenses are all motorized so not only can you adjust size and focus using the remote, but also the position of the picture as well.

I used to have a Panasonic CRT projector in my basement with a 110" screen - that was pretty cool but the novelty just wore out, especially since I got a free (needed repair) 46" rear projection HDTV.
