I gotta big tough question:

Can an Asteroids (non deluxe) power assembly be used in a Battlezone? Asteroids Deluxe and Battlezone both show the same serial number for power assemblies but Asteroids is different.

Check the wiring pinouts. If you look closely at your wiring setup, you should see a separate small connector that plugs in right before the big connector to the monitor. That's the separate monitor power, rather than the video inputs and other voltages. (If I'm not mixing up my memories of vector monitor wiring.)

The G05-802 should require the exact same power input, regardless of whether it's in a Battlezone, Asteroids, etc. You may be able to hook up JUST the main monitor power wiring from the Asteroids brick, while using the rest of the wiring from the Battlezone brick/ARII/Board. If so, you can eliminate or verify that the brick is causing the pulsing.

Otherwise, you have X/Y pulsing from the board....

There is no small connector down the line from the large 12 pin connector where it connects to the monitor. The wires lead from there to the edge connector, etc...

Also, my test switch was missing so I jumped it and it the pulsing is happening in the test mode as well (as I'd expect).
