This is one of the few I'd take the day off of work at the drop of a hat to go get. 100% original and complete, right down to the manual, keys, and taito power supply. This is one I never thought I'd get a hold of, and after 8 hours of driving and 300 bucks, its in my garage.

Too bad it's a mess. Every component is covered in grime, the monitor has the worst screen burn I've ever seen, and it was sold as not working. Haven't messed with it yet but am hoping for an easy solution.

Still, I'm really pumped. It'll be another big restore project, but I never thought I'd get a Wild Western! It will be loved. Now if only I could get a Tin Star and a Sherrif to go with it.

Awesome. The cabinet looks nice, like it just needs a cleaning. That will make a fun restoration (cleaning) project. Good candidate for a tube swap!

Nice catch. I love Taito cabinets. I missed out on one in Altoona a few months ago.

Where did you find it?

..

Awesome find and awesome game! Im really glad to see that people are finally into Wild Western. 10 years ago on RGVAC/RGVAM people use to make fun of me for liking it :)

Did you see any of the other games he had? I replied to his ad but never got a response. He had a bunch of good titles.

congrats on the rare find & awesome game, I'm getting closer to finishing my resto

Just outside Chicago. He did have a ton of games for sale. Real reasonable prices too.

I did see all the games but didn't get a good look at them. They were packed in pretty tight in his garage and it was effing freezing. A lot of them looked to be in pretty good shape. A shame it was so cold, I could have spent all day there.

I never saw one in the... wild, but I was a huge fan of Frontline and Tin Star when I was a kid, so I was fascinated to learn that there was a 3rd title in the group. I've played WW a bunch on my MAME and its definitely the easiest of the three, which might make it the most fun. Something about the dial control is really nostalgic for me and I'm pumped to have one one of these hard to find cabs to clean up and make all nice.

Do you have a restore thread? I'd like to check it out. Is the dial knob on mine original? Seems the few pictures I can find of this cab have a stainless steal knob like on Frontline. The seller actually threw in a complete extra dial controller with a stainless steel knob, also in dire need of restoration and cleaning, so I'm good eitherway. Man, I really feel like I got a good deal on this one.

had one of those for a few years!
not a big hit, but i enjoyed it.
my eyes always lit up if i saw one or
a Tin Star. not enough wild west games!
also check out Gun.Smoke, Sunsetriders, etc.

a prospective buyer of my WW ended up
being a friend a few more years down the road.
it was funny to remember how we each looked
familiar to one another -- i was actually a little
pissed because he never ended up buying the game!
cheap no good bastard! ;)

AHHH... So you're the one that bought that! I was talking to the seller about that and that was the game that was requested the most! That's a great deal for 3 bills!

It sucks that a blew my gaming funds on a project pin or else that would've been mine!;)

Congrats on the game ! Many memories of playing at the Dominick's grocery store...

Let me know when you sell it....:D

Congrats on your find. It looks like it has a lot of cleaning to be done. Not bad though. Can't wait to see it when it's done.....

Congrats on the game find. I just sold mine a couple of months ago. It was a great game like they say not a big name but still fun to play. Seems like every taito game i picked up always has cold solder joints on the PCB's I not sure if they used cheap solder or what but i have been lucky on getting them up and running with a easy fix. Good Luck!

I thought maybe it was an Elevator Action. I've got a black Taito cabinet with Tetris in it that I really wish was an Elevator Action.
