Guys check this website out, michaelangeloauctions.com

Then once you are at site you will see u can bid online live at bidspotter.com

350 pieces or more... newer stuff though..Talked to Buzz thismorning no reserves

In Warren Ohio...

well if you know the fees going into it. And have an idea of what you are willing to pay ...You are fine.. U can plug it up and check it out prior to sale.

Example ATV Tracks is on namcos website for 1200 bucks... Buzz told me he expected them to bring maybe 500bucks..add fees etc..still a deal..

what a joke

As usual NAMCO does things you just got to shake your head at and say "WHY"... When you call to talk to Buzz you get no answer or no return calls.....You cant even buy games at the price listed on their website.....So now you tell me instead of lowering the price of ATV Tracks on the website to lets say $600 and selling it fast at christmas, their going to sell it for $500 and then pay fees ....the crazy part is NAMCO and Buzz know this....no wonder the company is hurting

the way I see this...... Buzz is trying to keep himself useful to the company.. As we all know a seccretary could update internet prices... He is selling off hundreds ofpieces at a time and being the hero...LOL

Anyway I posted this to let the locals or anyone for that matter that they could maybe get some deals... not to bash anyone at Namco...

its not buzz it the auction house
and it has nothing to do with the fees
go and see up here they are pretty bad

Michael, the auctioneer is an asshole. I know Buzz and have several deals with him. But Michael is one that you are best not even admitting that you know. If you bid 350 on a game and he wants 400, he will put you down for that amount. If ou bitch, then he will tell you to leave the auction. He is the shadiest auctioneer i have ever dealt with, and i know alot of them. My partner drove to Michaels house and bought a machine from him. When we were at an auction a few years later, my partner went up and started talking to him, and Michael flat out lied to him that he was not the one that my partner went to to buy the game, Even when my partner had the address of where he went, which was Michaels address, he still said that it wasnt true.

Also, gabesdad, you apparently have not been to one of there auctions. There is never a no-reserve type auction with him. Games like artic thunder, he will start the bidding at say 700.00, if he dont get a bid, he will pass the game. Where is the no-reserve in that . A true no reserve auction will never have a pass on it. Also, if he gets mad, which he has several times, he just says that the games are not bringing enough and quits. So if you have you mind set on getting a game towards the end of the auction. There is a chance that he wont even sell it, even if you tell him that the game you came for hasnt been auctioned yet. It happened here in Illinois with him on more than one occasion. I even was standing nect to him when he quit halfway through the auction. A buyer went up and said that he wanted this game in the last row, Michaels response was "you should have bought some of the games that i was auctioning if you want me to stick around for the last row. WTF, i have to buy 20 games early on to keep his interest up enough to do his job,

Also, i went to one of his sales that was a store closing all items will be sold to the highest bidder. They had a carnival ride that i was interested in. When he went to start auctioning it, he was asking for 15k, i told him that i would open the bid at 5k. He said, "do i look that stupid, this thing is worth the 15k, if i dont get a opening bid of that, then we just wont sell it" Some no-reserve auction that all items will be sold

M If you bid 350 on a game and he wants 400, he will put you down for that amount.

same thing happened to me at his last auction, I got screwed outa $50 more.. although I really wanted the game so I didnt care :) Im trying to convince myself I need to drive 8 hours each way and spend the night in a hotel just to go to the auction..Im just having a hard time :(

I am planning on going since it's relatively close and would like one of pins on the list. Then they posted the lots for the online bidders and it doesn't list any of those pins only 3 different ones. I might go for the VS Hogan's Alley though.

Sounds like it should be interesting though.

I'd really like to get one of those three DDR Extremes, but after hearing how these auctions go I'm a little hesitant to make that trip for it. I'll hopefully find a doubles cabinet soon enough for the right price, just don't think it's going to be from this auction.

I am by far no ddr anything, i dont even think I ever played it. BUT at the last auction there was a guy there who was a ddr freak, and pretty much said they all had major issues and people were getting ripped. not sure if this crop will be the same

Even more of a reason not to make the trip, lol. It sucks that this kind of stuff happens, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Obviously check the machines before bidding. I doubt you will have this issue - but the last repair gig I went into, the owner found an auction and bid on a few games.

I got the crazy taxi's working - but he spent 1k on a DDR with 5 junk pads (not 1 of which was a DDR pad). There is a lot of bundling that goes on in the auctions, and a lot of basket case problem games that get dumped there. Make sure you know the models and what pads they are supposed to have before you buy!

I went to one of these auctions for a local FEC that closed up last year. they pulled a total bait and switch job on the games. lots of GARBAGE. we wound up getting a showcase for $25, a pair of Blitz '99 and Blitz 2000 for $300 together, and a Colorama 4 player for a grand. we mostly went there for redemption equipment ... some of this stuff was so ancient that I HIGHLY DOUBT any of it came from this game room. the Colorama was legit, it had Oak Forest stickers on it at least. the other shit came from Florida. the Blitz '99 actually had a business card affixed to the bezel saying it came from some old school games outfit in Florida.

the part that pissed me off immensely at this auction was they wouldn't let us power up the other 3 or 4 showcases that were on the block, we happened to jack a power cord and ran an extension cord for the one we bought and the tube was immaculate. the showcases were pretty rough, but the one I really wanted was this MK3. Michael Angelo started getting pissy at this point cause nobody was really bidding on the total broken down SHIT they deposited at this auction, one guy won a showcase, MA starts on the next one, and because no one said anything in the first 10 seconds he just sold it to the last guy. (this was about 3/4 into the auction)

the Colorama makes us huge bank, the showcase I wound up converting from AVP to MVC2, and the Blitzs I still have.

one of the bigger blunders of this auction was we could've got 2 Dynamo air hockeys in rough condition for $25 each, WITH the plastic dividers on the sides and probably a slew of other parts for our other Dynamo Hot Flashes. those damn plexi dividers are like $300 new.

and slept on a Wave Runner too for parts for ours. I think that went for $25 as well. lol

live and learn, kids.

Damnit I wish I could go to this. I'm in NY and it seems like all of the good stuff is always in the midwest! I don't care about sketch ball fees and all this other stuff..I just wanted to go! hahah. I found the bidspotter info...anyone ever use it before? Kinda hesitant to put in my max amount I'd pay + credit card info....Is there any place to see what the items actually go for after the auction? I may see how this one goes and then use bidspotter for the auction the following month. Just looking for a showcase cabinet or a sitdown cabinet (don't care if they are working)

one of the bigger blunders of this auction

we went to the last on in IN..with the intentions of getting a sega gt 2 player driver... noone was bidding...he asked if anyone wanted it... we had even played this one before and everything was perfect but for some reason I didnt speak up...well I waited too long and someone else took it for $200 :(

Damnit the Star Wars triology game just was passed at 200 with no bids..ahhh I wish i was there!!..anyone know how much it would cost roughly to have someone ship one of these big machines from ohio to NY roughly?
