Anyone have any thoughts on the Big Electronic Games 12-in-1 Midway "home arcade" games? I saw one listed in the local craigslist.

I'd pay $50 for one, gut it and put the parts in a real cabinet, with a real monitor and a real CP...

Oh wait a minute...

I'm seriously thinking about doing the same thing as my next, next project. My buddy has a bunch of full-size empty cabs sitting around that I can use. There is one of these things close to me for $120. If I landed it for $50, I'd do it.

I really see no cheaper way of making a two joystick-run Robotron while getting the other cool titles.

Yeah, wish I had kept mine as I played the hell out of Robotron on it (and Satans Hollow, which I now own anyway). Only thing to keep in mind is it wont work with a modulator, and wont work with some TV's even with AV inputs. Puts out some strange signal and every RCA TV I tried didnt want to work (or constantly displayed an "unusable signal" message). I finally had luck with an old Magnavox. If TV's are plentiful in your area you should eventually find a good match.

Also some of the colors are slightly off, no biggie. Game play is spot on, and it truly felt like an arcade game once I swapped the cabinet, CP and TV. $50 is worth it, but I wouldnt pay much more than that.

Ooops!! Now you tell me. I just paid full price plus $350 to ship it insured to Chicago. I really should check these forums more often.
