Well I posted a while ago seeking help for my Big Choice machine I that recently purchased in non-working condition. I tried different boards (untested)and transformers and as it turns out two out of the three motors were seized up. I received a whole second parts machine that helped me reach this conclusion.

Here is where I need the help.....the machine now goes through its test and ends up over the drop box. From here it doesnt move. I try depositing coins but it doesnt seem to activate the claw. The machine has a joystick and a light signaling a coin deposit.

Does anyone have a starting point for me? Here is a picture of the board:

Check if it has end of stroke switches, and if any or all motors still running when the grabber stops. If so, that would have burn out the 2 motors. Wires from grabber to pcb should be also checked, good luck

Does anyone have a diagram of the wiring for the joystick, the credit light, and the coin mechanisms for this unit. I am thinking that the joystick may be wired wrong but am unsure. Will this cause the claw to not move?

It seems like the credits are not being accepted causing the light to not turn on. Would I be able to set this on free play some how?

disconnect the wire harness from the switch on the coin mech, short the 2 wires together directly, this should credit the machine. if it does, then u prob have a bad coin switch. test the coin switch with a continuity tester. if it doesnt credit the machine, try the leads from the other mech. if that doesnt work check the voltage across the circuit should be 5v dc i believe.
if it isnt you have some deeper problem with the board, or maybe a disconnected/broken wire somewhere you will have to trace it down.

you say it goes threw its test.....does it drop down and does the claw close during the test?

Well I finally had the time to look at this again. Shorting out the coin switches didn't work. But I did find what 2 posts on the circuit board /wire harness did activate the claw. The catch is one post doesn't correspond to a wire in the harness. Can I connect two wires directly to the harness with a button to credit the machine ? Am I missing something easy? I have another coin door with harness and it didn't work either .
