There is a Family Fun Center that has closed down after only two months of operation...apparently from what I was told, they never had the correct zoning and had to close....but www.bigcityauctions.com is running the auction and promises the stuff will go cheap!! Anyone going?? Todd from TNT Amusements

Thanks for the heads up Todd. That place (Play To Play) is literally around the corner from my house. They posted a craigslist ad a month or so ago. I got their non-working Sharkey's Shootout for $500 (just a bad rectifier!). At the time they were basically asking for what they paid for each game. Everything was in decent shape, and that Jumpin Jackpot looked brand new. In fact, the entire facility looked brand new. I should have grabbed it at the $1100 they offered it to me for. I don't pay retail, so I passed on anything else. I am interested in that soda fountain though!

gee if only they had an industrial popcorn popper.
not much video/pin to be had, it appears.

There are NO classics, contrary to what I was told on the phone by the manager of this place. The only real video games were the four Arctic Thunders / Rush 2049s, and one had a wonky monitor. Also, no pinballs left. Not even a real Skee-Ball. However all the stuff I saw was in real nice condition as it was hardly used. There are also some soccer games where you have to kick a ball.

I'll pass...unless I get the roller Coaster Sim for $10

seriously, if anybody goes to this, please report back as to how much this bastard goes for. me and my wife love the really old one they have down on the boardwalk in rehobeth beach Delaware. that one rules! it looks like one of the shuttles from star trek. and it runs a FILM on a projector! we call it the "barf-a-tron 2000". totally rad.

I'm gonna head over to it...hmm maybe I should give them a call and see what they have before..really looking for a star wars tril or a 2 person sitdown cabinet like lost world.

These Christmas-time auctions and sales are killing me. Its my brokest time of the year. I've watched 3 games I could have snagged during the summer slip away for great prices.

i'd love to go. but the funds were just spent on other stuff. i would be interested in 'renting' one or two items from someone for my son's birthday party in early-mid january. so if you win something and need me to 'store' it for a little bit, we can work something out.

Anyone go to Saturdays buy it now?..really curious to see if its worth going to this place tomorrow

I went to the preview/buy it now and nothing was tagged. Not sure how that was supposed to work but it seemed very disorganized. Nothing I was interested in. There were a lot of redemption games. Not enough there for me to miss the Eagles beat the Giants.

lolz

Giants > Eagles

Bungy could you go down and pick up that roller coaster simulator for me???? it would make a helluva christmas gift!!!!!

They wouldn't let it go for less than 15k. Nobody bid and the bumper cars didn't see either. There were a lot of other people there selling their games so there was a lot to go through. There were a few classics and some other modern drivers, but nothing too major. LOTS of redemption stuff though, yuck.

So i didnt miss any star wars trilogy, star wars pod racer, tsunami motion game, sitdown shooters, or any showcase cabinets?
