Big buck hunter safari CRT to LCD

I have a Big Buck World with a CRT and that game relies on the CRT scan lines to work (screen flashes when you pull the trigger). So unless your guns have the camera in them, probably not. I think the new games with LCDs use a camera in the gun to see what you are pointed at.

Big Buck Safari DLX uses 42" LCD .
I have not seen the game yet,it is one of friend's friend deal ,ask me to take a look .
He has a Big Buck Safari with 27" CRT .

I don't know if the Big Buck Hunter Safari is the same but I service 2 Big Buck World's, one is the 27" CRT type and the other is the 42" LCD Deluxe cabinet. Wile I think the computers are the same I am not sure the game program is the same and I believe the I/O boards are different. The 27" CRT game uses the old style light optic guns and the 42" LCD has 10 IR LED boards with 3 IR LED's on each board, 5 boards on top and 5 boards below the game marquee and the guns have IR cameras. With that said I would say no to your question.

Quick overview.

the 27" cabs use light guns and therefore can not use an LCD.

the 42" cabs use iR guns (the iR array is above and below the marquee) and doesnt even need a monitor in the game for the guns to work.

So, no. You can not put an LCD in the CRT based Buck Hunter.
