I have a big box of television chassis that I've kept from tube swap donors and such. I had been saving them for parts, but I've never gone to them to look for parts in over two years. Are they good for anything?

I save the neckboards and ship them out to a few people who make rejuvenator adapters. I usually toss the yokes as I've never found a compatible one, are they good for anything either?

I also have a Toshiba CR31 tube and yoke / purity rings (tube# A48KZL70X) for free near Philadelphia if anyone wants it. Not going to ship it. This tube has 8 pins and a thinner neck, I've heard it will work in a K7000. Will not work in 4900, 4600, G07, etc.

Sometimes I keep assorted components off of old TV sets. I usualy grab the resistors and ICs as well as any heat sinks and reuseable cable ties. Other than that I don't know of a use for them.

I always pull any of the big resistors....5 watt and larger. I also pull the big horizontal tuning polypropylene caps.

Definitely a good source for parts. Transistors (esp off the neck), resistors, diodes...anything, really, except electrolytic caps.

Crap! I usually cut the PCB off the neck sockets before I ship them out.

Hrmmm I can't remember if I had any K7000s needing tubes, although I doo have a 720 something that needs one...(even though I prob have 10)...

If you get no takers I'll take it!

I usually pull the neck sockets, pots, big mylar caps (for replacement width caps), and any 3-watt or higher resistors, just in case I need a power resistor of that size.

Other than that, I check color drive transistors, VR's, bridge rectifiers, rectifying diodes, vertical transistors, IC's and HOTs to see if they match any of the common arcade monitor parts, and pull them as needed...
