Started on my mini restoration journey this weekend. I picked up a 1971 Chicago Coin Monte Carlo Thursday and started digging in today. It's somewhat of a bastard machine. All EM stuff was removed and it is converted to solid state using williams system 7 pcb's from a topaz shuffle bowler.

First I removed mpu, power supply and driver board and sent them out for repair and modding. This thing is filthy. I spent most of today cleaning and sanding. I'll start painting tomorrow. Check out the last picture of the nasty funk on all the wood. I'm cutting into the finish just enough to melt off the funk.

I'm a bit overdue on an update to this thread. I ended up finishing this project and it came out great.

I still have to take a final picture, but I'm pretty happy with it overall.
