Does anyone have tips for cutting a bezel with rounded inside corners?

i sandwhich the plex between two shit pieces of wood and cut on a table saw. i use the large belt sader (4 foot table model) to smooth the edges. or you can go to a place that distrubutes plex or lexan and they can do it for you.

I would make 1 template, then clamp it under each corner seperately, then use a tracing router bit to copy from

To make a template from scrap material

  1. Jigsaw an "L" shape at least 12" x 12" in size, to the correct shape of 1 rounded corner
  2. Hand sand the roughness, to a nice finish
  3. Clamp the template UNDER the rough cut bezel (Check for correct placement)
  4. Use a ball bearing straight cutter in a router, and set the height correctly to trace the template, clamping one corner at a time until all 4 are done
Please ask if not sure

Good luck

It may have been the blade I was using but the one time I used a jigsaw on plexi it was actually melting as cutting and then refiling the gap behind the blade!

Now that's funny!

I purchased a plexiglass cutting tool at Ace Hardware for about $5. As far as "real" glass it's tempered, order it from your local glass company in the size you want. The one I use you order one day and it's ready the next.
