i live in Massachusetts and i'd like to buy a new bezel for my project cab

when ordering online as through quarterarcade.com or the like does the bezel include the glass?

any idea of a place in MA to get a great bezel?

thanks

Most bezels are plex not glass. If you want glass you can pretty much call up any glass shop and have a chunk cut for you.

looks like the one i have is that, for sure, but painted; badly.

do you paint the glass to block off the sides or can you buy a cutout to place behind the glass?

you can really do either, I would imagine.

but if you ordered a new bezel and you have glass that's painted now, your best bet is to replace the glass at this point. make note of the original glass thickness and all that.

If you end up ordering glass, make sure to have it tempered! ;)

You also need to make sure and tell them to leave off the logo. Glass places tend to stamp glass in a corner with their logo, I don't really care for windows but it can be really distracting for bezels.

good tip!

so when you've bought new glass, did you black out the top and sides with paint?
sorry, I'm sure there's some standard for this but I'm new to all this...

You can paint one side of the glass if you like but the more common fix for blacking out the monitor surround is to place a plastic or hard board bezel around the frame of the monitor.
