Best way to take apart push/pull dot spinner

I need to take this apart to fit it through the control panel. What is the easiest way?

just guessing here, but see that C-clip on the shaft, toward the top, just above the white actuator? Get pliers and pull that off. If the shaft doesn't pull through after that, looks like there's a lock-screw on the side. Loosen that and see if the shaft releases up through the body. Doesn't the body mount under the CP?

Yes, the body mounts under the panel. I am sure I will figure it out, but this part is so expensive I did not want to experiment, lol. Was hoping someone had a trick! (For example, I have learned over the years that is easier to take an arkanoid spinner apart rather then trying to remove the spinner top).
