I have shipped 2 or 3 single boards but I need to ship a set of 5 boards together . What is the best way to pack the to make sure they are not damaged, what type of packing, box or any other tips you can share.
I guess ups or fedex would be better than USPS

unshure about how to package but i preffer the usps over fedex and ups

fedex is never on time and i have had to deal with nightmare after nightmare with them
(orderd turtles last week delivered fed x with deleviry after 4 well they delivered them at 11 and driver left the package on my driveway in the sun pakage stated perishible live turtles)

a fed ex driver also stole one pf my packages last week
i was home when delivered heard the driver drop off my packages (sposed to be 2)
only recived 1 package but upon calling fed x they stated that bolth packages were delivered at the same time by the same driver (recived my light power cord but the heavy box marked gateway never arived)

with ups i have seen some crap i have recived boxes that looked like the truck ran over them smashed bashed and all forms of disarray

so far usps has been good and no damaged packages not even one with a dent in it always on time and if somthing is "live" they deliver it to my nabors or leave a note for me so i can pick it up at the post office

and with the nice heavy duty flat rate priority boxes that usps provides free its really great
pluss they deliver on saturday also

wrap each one with a static proof bag(when possible. some boards like qbert are huge). then wrap them endlessly in bubble wrap. toss in a big box surrounded by paper.

If you want to be able to collect after UPS damages your boards in transit, do the following:
You will be doing a "delicate pack"
Each item must be wrapped in bubble wrap to a thickness of at least 1" all the way around. Then that item must "float" in 1-2" of foam peanuts and then boxed of course.
Another idea is to create carboard "sleeves" for each board and then float these in a box with peanuts and then place that box in a bigger box floating in peanuts.
It seems like a lot of work but if you want to "play the game" with UPS, you need to play by their rules.
Different people in different places will have very different experiences with delivery drivers. I have noticed one thing over the years though and that's how sometimes FedEx gets "sketchy" sometimes; particullarly overseas. I think there's more "clandestine" actions dealing with FedEx drivers, except for Next Day Express. UPS seems to be more "offical", almost government-like control over deliveries, customs and unexpected issues. This is my personal experience, I am not saying FedEx drivers are crooks but I seen much more "funky" stuff happen with FedEx.
If it's gotta be there next morning: FedEx Express
Big, heavy box, slow boat to China: UPS Ground
Wanna gamble: USPS
