I've got a game with what appears to be sticker glue residue beneath the coin return buttons. I've used Goo Gone to cut through the residue, but with limited results. I've never seen anything that was so resistant to removal, so thought I'd stop and ask for advice. Is there a product more effective than Goo Gone that will not damage the door paint?

Thanks.

Mix 90%+isopropyl 1:1 with acetone. Strong enough to take off the sticky (and sharpie) but safe enough to use on clear plastic.

Might be worth heating with a hair dryer to loosen a bit and then as poster above mentioned hit it with the alcohol.

Goo Gone with paper towels works well for me, as I find it to be the least harsh solvent that will still get the stickiness off, without damaging the paint.

The trick is to keep changing the paper towel, and adding more Goo Gone. Keep rubbing and it will come off slowly, leaving the paint and plastic unharmed.

For playfield mylar removal I often use the goo gone-flour method. Spray with goo gone, let soak a bit, dump a hand full of flour on and work it like an abrasive.

If it's residue from duct tape (please folks, never put duct tape over coin slots....), try magic eraser with alcohol. Once you've got it all off, polish up with Novus.
