What is the best way to re-apply side art that was removed from another machine? I was thinking either elmer's glue with a roller. I also have some spray adhesive.

Never really tried that specifically, but I had some black vinyl that didn't adhere really great so I tried Elmer's...no good at all. I think some people have had success with spray adhesive, but I won't give an opinion on it. However, I would think that if you tried it, you would have to make sure it's very evenly coated. Hmm...just thinking...what about wallpaper paste?

It actually works. I bought a tube of Zinser wallpaper spot glue and used it to adhere a torn Tempest marquee overlay down. 6 months later, it's still stuck down tighter than a cub scout's asshole while he's standing on Fritz's doorstep trying to sell him tickets to the Diamond Jubilee.

I would think it would...so long as your cab is prepped properly. Easier to place and move around than spray adhesive. Worse case scenario is that it might start to peel in like 7 or 8 years, and that would be a very easy fix. Certainly less frustrating than using other stuff that has less room for "error" and screwing up on your one chance to apply it.

Thanks, wallpaper spot adhesive is what I've been using for peeling side art for years, I guess it will be good enough for a whole piece of side art. Now I just need to find a local gutted vertical cab for this project.

take it to a sign shop and have new double sided adhesive installed. Slathering or spraying glue will look like poo. or pou?

I figure I could apply a think layer of wallpaper glue, get the art lined up properly, cover it with cling wrap and put a large piece of glass down to hold it in place while the cab is on its side and let it dry for a few days.

It should be more forgiving than other options...I'm no side art expert. One of my new art applications had wrinkles when I was finished. The other set turned out okay.

I think that would guarantee wrinkles.
