On my recently acquired Tempest cab, there is a chunk missing where the angle section comes to an end down by the CP. Are there instructions anywhere on the best way to do a bondo repair? Also, there is T-molding in that spot. Do I leave it there to help with the forming? Or is that a bad move? Please share your experiences.

leave the tmolding in place. bondo, sand prime blocksand and repeat if necessary. if it is possible for the bondo to be knocked out put a few finish nails in place to support or act as rebar. im sure good quality videos will be out on this soon.

that's exactly what i did on my centipede. worked perfectly.

AJs way works perfect, he showed me and did the first couple chunks on my Fire fox proto and it came out great. The finishing nails as a frame works really good defintly leave the Tmolding in place.

I have the same problem with my time pilot im working on. I just filled everything in with bondo, sanded and reapplied as necessary. Waiting on a router to cut the groove for the t molding

when I do small repairs like that, I just use a sawzall blade, held with both hands to regroove the t molding groove. works perfectly on up to 6 inch patches, or around bends (sucks on inside turns though:()
