Best way to convert Pac-man to 60-n-1

Something else to think about... it's been a while... but I could have swore the TB needs a +5v line. I could be wrong on that and I am getting confused because of the lamp under my larger TB...

The Lizard Lick adapter will convert the pacman power from ac to 5v and 12v dc
The trackball optics do require 5v dc but if you use a harness from the multi board to the trackball it will pull the 5v from there.

Sorry Guess I was a little confused. I didn't see that the Pac jamma board did the ac to dc conversions so you could plug the 60-1 directly in it.

Now you'll just need to wire up the Jamma CP and you should be golden.

Will the JAMMA adaptor / 60-in-1 setup recognize the Pac 1 and 2 player buttons as usable for gameplay?

(I'm being lazy. I suppose I could look this up, too...)

I ran one of those LL Adapters in mine and wasnt pleased with it. There was always background noise, and it kept resetting, mainly when there was a surge in the circuit from the Pepsi machine or the Washer/Dryer). It does have headers for fire buttons, so you can either add fire buttons to a new panel or tap into your start buttons.

I switched to a Jamma Boards adapter with a switcher and am happier with it. Just tap the switcher into a 120 source inside the cab (I tapped mine in near the AC Filter). Another advantage to that adapter is it has jumper settings, so your start buttons can also act as fire buttons without any wiring needed. Only con was I still had to tap in an extra ground wire (for whatever reason), but I like it. I can rin the 48-1 in my Ms. Pac-Man without any hacking needed, still using the original CP as well.

I have the LL adaptor + 60-1 w/ trackball in my Ms.Pac cab and could not be happier - works flawlessly.

That said, it didn't work so well at first, but after extensive troubleshooting it turned out that one of the brand new caps was bad on the LL adaptor... replaced it and all is good. One thing to be said concerning LL is that if you have a prob, Chad will help you out.

I also bought a semi cheesed CP from a fellow KlOVer and installed a couple buttons and a trackball. I even picked up another Ms Pac CP harness from Bob Roberts that has the proper molex connector for my 60-1 CP, so my set up is truly plug and play.

It is a sweet set up, and all I would need to do is unplug the adaptor from the LL adaptor, plug it in to the still-mounted Ms. Pac PCB and change the CP out to have her back to original.

Best of luck to you
