i am installig a few 4 player games inside my cab using a multijamma board (got lucky, all 6 slots work great). my question is, what is the best way to conect all the player 3/4 harnesses together? what would the prefered method be with hacking the hell out of every wire on each harness. i am looking for a neat installation that will have a solid connection for each harness. trying to avoid a hacked mess of wires...

getcha diodes ready!

it's no different than like a MK kick harness in those "Multi Kombat" applications, you have to have diodes inline on every wire, otherwise you'll have ghost grounding.

personally, I would make the runs from the boards to where they all come together very short and leave that run long up to the CP. have plenty of electric tape, zipties and solder handy... and no, it's not fun to do. make sure you have the diodes facing the correct direction too, I think you want the band facing the board way, not the CP way... my brain's fried right now, double check with somebody first.

Molex connectors, and yes with a switcher your gonna need the diodes. How you do that? not sure don't own a switcher.

edit: btw it can be tricky getting a bunch of wires into a molex pin but be patient it can be done (atleast with 3-4 i know for sure as that's how i did mine).

Actually it would be even easier for you since your using the diodes you can just solder all the wires onto the diode and then 1 wire to the molex pin.

I always leave a Little loop or two of wires when I have to hand wire anything. Nothing more frustrating than needing a few extra inches and running short or replacing a a board and the connector just out of reach..

Good luck in your wiring. Don't forget to show pictures when your done.

please, anyone know the correct diode? i would like to tackle this over the weekend...
