Hey guys - I have a 4 player vertical cabinet I want to put a mulitcade in. It's Jamma - I want to know what the best in 1 unit is to use. Thanks!

I'd consider putting in the extra time and adapting a PC with mame.
Then you can control the menu, tweak things, upgrade it as you wish.
It's very satisfying.

I don't think that there is a great 4player vert multi out there...

Arpicade can be done with some tweaking
60 in 1 is a no go
412 is a no go
51 in 1 is a no go
Arcade SD is not 4pl either....

These are the only vert multi that I'm aware of.
As stated by another post, MAME is your answer.

Hope that helps!

Original XBox with Coinops will run almost anything. It's super cheap.

What's vertical and more than 2p anyway?

Team Quarterback - 4p
Turbo Force - 3p
Mercs - 3p
Gain Ground - 3p (medium resolution)
Touchdown Fever - 4p (cocktail style only / end-to-end)

Probably why this question doesn't come up often,
there's not much reason to do it.

I have nothing of value to add here except the Mr plow theme song

Mr. Plow,
That's my name.
That name again is Mr. Plow.

This just seems a weird question. Does the OP mean the cabinet is an upright when he says "vertical" and not that the monitor orientation is vertical?

I would go with a 60 in 1, hands down

its a great, great, great board and will last a long, long, long time
I sell them in cabinets to people and they love, love, love it

I love it because it just works, works, works and never get a call back from the customers because of the game board, ever.

the 412 in 1's are slightly, slightly blurry. They can fail at any moment for a number of reasons
I can see it and it bothers me to no end although I do love Tutankham and Bagman and Super Bagman but the rest of the games I could do without. I keep a 412 around just to satisfy my taste of those three games but I don't have confidence in selling a multicade to someone with one of those in it. I just think the phone is going to ring at any time with some complaint/failure.

Run, run, run far away from the computer based systems is my advice.
Never bought an arcadeSD. Probably will never only because the 60 satisfies my almost every need.

Always have a 19 in 1 around even if I only sell 1 or 2 a year. Have to have some Robotron and Defender around at a moments notice.

cast in order of appearance:

60 in 1
19 in 1
412 in 1

and that makes me a happy gamer
your mileage may differ

I saw a 60 in 1 on ebay for 36 bucks. you will get decades of happy gaming out of it if you put a new 21 dollar switcher on it.

good luck
