I have Nanao MS9-29 that has vertical line issue and I think I want a tri-sync monitor.

Options I'm looking at:

1-buy Wei-ya chassis for existing Toshiba tube. Tube has no burn in, but some surface scratches. $175 + shipping

2-buy new Makvision monitor from Happ, with flat to curved bezel - 420 (monitor) + 33 (bezel) + 15 (power cord) + shipping

3-buy new Neotec NT-500 - $599 + shipping

4-buy new Sanwa PFX - $775 + shipping

Options 2 and 4 are flat screen, so need bezel.

Cabinet is Sega Astro City. Monitor is 27 us / 29 jpn.

What the best option?

Thanks,
Dave

Is Rick Neiman at neimandisplays.com still stocking tube monitors?

Would Nieman Video Displays- NVD be the best option? Price seems good, shipping is higher to due to being from Canada. Uses Thomson tubes (slightly curved 27 inch) and not sure of chassis. Perhaps his own?

You can go flat if you like. RS in Japan sells a metal bezel filler for about 100 bucks I think. You can make your own using black foam. Option 1 though is my vote. Keep it as stock looking as possible.

I believe it's his own; someone said it's a modified Pentranic that fixes its key failure.
