Picked up a Sega Rally Championship Deluxe on a lark. Mostly because it was something different being easier than F355 and Initial D and also rally racing. That got me thinking I'd rather get sega rally 2 and if so get the motion cabinets. Which now has me at what racing games had motion cabinets? Which are the best?

So far I know they exist for:
Daytona USA
Daytona 2
Nascar
Nascar Team Racing
Sega Rally 2

What other ones?

I have never seen one, but powerdrift.

Had one and it was much loved and played by all who came over. Sold it when I started thinning the game list to sell and move halfway across the US. Really miss it but it damn near killed the 3 of us loading it when they picked it up so I would have had to sell it here since it would have never made it to the basement.

Not really motion, but I really mis my Virtua Racing Deluxe. Between the inflating seat and the rumble of the air compressor......great game.

For non-racing....
Galaxy Force Deluxe is great, but I had to pass on one since it didn't fit through my double door. I regret not getting it.

Best game is an R360 running Afterburner.

Having played an R360 running afterburner at sega world back in 96, very cool, but I would rather do Wing War. The fact that you can link them together is the big selling point, if you could ever find two working ones.

Did not know virtua racing deluxe had an inflating seat, interesting idea. Right now I am still leaning toward sega rally 2's if I can find them. F zero would be a close second, but chances of finding two of the motion models seems slim.

Looks like you also suffer from the deluxe cabinet sickness like I do as well.

Powerdrift is the best one I have played, I think went up and down as well as side to side.

Coming from pins where are decent game *used* to start around 2k but has now pushed closer to 3k, arcades are cheap. I like to buy games and fix them and pins anymore are hard to find and frankly tired of dealing with the community.

Deluxe model arcades are easier to find deals on since so few can house them. I paid 750 for my first f355, needed a monitor, a naomi, and cleaned. 1000 for the second, needed a naomi and still want to track down parts to make it nicer. I have been offered 2500 for one and turned it down.

Relative to pin prices its a bargain. I just spent 2600 for a pair of inital d4's shipped. Lotta money, but that might get me one pin? Instead I have two really rare games. Only downside to all this is how I managed ot unload to 800lb pallets by myself. Will still have to tear them apart to get them into the basement.

It is definitely a sickness, Power drift is really good, my only complaint is that the tracks on the game are kinda short, it probably has the best side to side motion of anything except the original After Burner. The vibrator motor in it is very loud, first time I heard it I thought something was wrong with the game.

Another good one is Rad Mobile, good luck finding one in good condition though, this one seems to get the most beat up of all the motion cabinets I have ever seen, the speakers get torn off and its often missing parts from the back of the cabinet. I played one over the summer and forgot how good it was.
