Best Place to get vinyl for front and sides of cabinets?

Hi,

I recently picked up a pretty decent "Big Blue" Qsound Capcom cabinet, and although it is pretty sound, there is evidence of the previous owner doing lots of touch-ups with a similar (but not identical) blue paint. I am wanting to make this thing look nice, so I figured that I could probably just scrub the surfaces down nice and smooth and apply some blue vinyl, as opposed to re-painting the cabinet. My question is: Where do you reccomend I get it from? I have applied side-art in the past, so I know how to do it. I just need to know where to get some nice easy-to-apply vinyl to save me the trouble of painting. Any help would be appreciated. I DID do a search for "Best Vinyl", but nothing came up...

Hey Lee-

here is some

and I would recommend getting the old off, sanding the sides, and getting it really slick and imperfections will show right through. Like in painting, prep is 90% of the work for this.

Nice link! I've been looking for either paint or vinyl for my project. I think if I add up paint and primer, its over the cost of this vinyl price.

This cabinet has a light texture to it, due to the laminate that is put on the cabinet from the factory. I don't know if this would "smooth out" with sanding enough to provide a smooth vinyl surface. I wonder if the texture would show through and NOT look bad...?

I know people say to use primer, but it's not going to provide a smooth surface. You really should use a poly instead. It'll fill everything in, and you can sand it smooth.

Also, has anyone found red vinyl anywhere besides TOG?
