I'm rebuilding my Star Trek power supply and decided to do a full cap kit and replace the TIPs. Any suggestions on the best place to get parts. Usually I go with Bob Roberts but this is not stuff he has in a kit form.

G-80 Power Supply Caps

Qty Value
9 10uf, 25V
1 100uf, 25V
1 3300uf, 25V
3 6800uf, 16V
4 4700uf, 25V

TIPS:

Qty
1 TIP141 8133
1 TIP118 7905C
2 TIP127 7812C
1 TIP120 8109
1 TIP125 142

Mouser should have those.... (TIP118 are you sure that is the number? I don't believe there is a TIP118). The other numbers are unimportant...they're date codes. TIP141, TIP127, TIP120, and TIP125 is the important part.

Hey bubba-

I'm not too sure about those numbers either-
The Star Trek schematic shows
TIP120, TIP125 used in the output of the audio amplifier. They are drawn as Darlington pair transistors.

TIP 141 is another Darlington pair transistor in the +5V circuit.

The other three are marked on the schematic as:
320T-5
340T-12 and
320T-12
They are respectively in the circuits for
-5V,
+12V and
-12V.

That one I fixed last week used a regular 7905 voltage regulator in the -5V circuit
I would assume that you can use a 7905 (-5V regulator), 7812 (+12V regulator), and a 7912 (-12V regulator).

Good luck-

320T-5 SUB 7905
340T-12 SUB 7812
320T-12 SUB 7912

I have the regulators , the TIP125 and possibly the TIP 120. I also have some of the smaller caps but not the big ones.
