Have a friend who's looking to convert (keeping original parts/harness aside) his Trojan horizontal machine. Don't want to really mess with flipping monitor and utilizing 60-1 board.

So a multiboard for Jamma, that also allows for CGA with the CRT monitor. Saw a Pandora box that seemed like a good option, then read it only does VGA.

Thanks!

Tim

Been discussed before. There are some of us that would recommend RPI-JAMMA solution. Not sure if Kickman has optimized his ROM suite as yet, though. (YMMV)

Thanks. He basically needs just an off the shelf emulator for horizontal, plug and play into a Jamma harness. Found several options here: http://retroactivearcade.ca/jamma-game-boards/

Just trying to find a consensus of one that provides a decent list, doesn't die after a month and can do CGA just plug and play to the Jamma harness. Trying to do a minimal conversion to utilize existing components (minus non-Jamma harness) in the machine. :)

There are plenty of options for CGA. Take a look at comparison list on Pandora product pages

Pandora's Box 5S....done deal. 999 games. lol

I have a VGA one or CGA one I can sell you if needed.

If you search Pandora CGA on aliexpress.com, one of the very first ones that comes up is a 1299 in 1 P5S (looks like a yellow box with no graphics.) It's something like $26 bucks + S/H, but it's probably the best 'bang for your buck' in regards to something swappable with JAMMA. Picked on up a few months ago and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Majority of games work just fine, only issues I've seen are minor like DK doesn't have a jump sound for Mario and sometimes it'll lag if there are a ton of sprites on the screen (sometimes happens in Metal Slug for example.)
