Best Nintendo Switcher?

So finally got al 4 game pcb's installed only to find this issue with Crazy Kong. Game works great on my jamma test bench.

Shows way too bright and no sound at all...

Why is it everything seems so dam hard in this hobby? Lol

Try turning down each of the RGB...pots? is that what I can call those little square things? Anyway, try turning those down low to make it dimmer.

Also, Could be fun to add a bitkit, which has a modified version of Crazy Kong with Crazy Kong II colors :)

Tried that already. Color still look all washed out and like crap imho.... this DJ Jamma adapter is crap...

Also tried my bitkit... worked much better. Might just go that route....

Best adjustment I can get is this... sound plays weird as well. It's almost like the DK jamma adaptor is messing with the video and sound signals...

For giggles the pcb plays fine on my jamma test rig.

So to follow up on this...

I ended up installing the twisty arvade 20ez remote board. This allows me to access the brightness adjustment at the front of the cab for crazy kong... not idea but it works.

Now moving on the fix my DK3 board and wrap this entire project up. Lol

I have the exact same set up and issues with Crazy Kong. I like your idea of using the 20ez remote board but I really wish someone could figure out a solution where you do not need to adjust the monitor when playing Crazy Kong. Also why are some of the sounds distorted but are fine in a different cabinet?

I have to agree... I have no idea why the vector labs DK Jamma adaptor is screwing with the brightness... maybe its his "inversion" chip?

As far as the sound I'm thinking its has to do with the 20EZ audio amp... was thinking of going direct from the pcb to the speaker to see if that clears it up.

@ It has 3 issues.

The jamma to Falcon pcb on the 4th slot.

As you can see from the pics the brightness seems to be overdriven. I've adjust the pots on the VL labs adapter to no effect. My solution now it to tweak the monitor brightness adjust on the 20ez remote board I have installed.

The sound is also messed up on the crazy kong board. I think it has something to do with the 20ez audio amp overdriven the sounds. I was going to try some solutions. One is to wire the sound directly to the speaker bypassing the 20ez audio amp. Or maybe remove the volume adjustment pot on the Falcon pcb and see if that works.

3 big issue is the power. The VL switcher must be power hungry. DK3 just would not boot no matter what I did. Long story of trying to fund the problem. Rebuild original ps ect ect. If found the -5v on the switcher to be low not allowing the DK3 board to boot consistently. My only solution was to use a switcher PS so I could up the voltage. Not ideal but it all works now.

Or I was going to ditch the whole crazy kong deal and put a Fix in Fleix set up in the 4th slot.... lol

Removing the volume pot on the falcon pcb would make the volume on max. You could try adding a 103/104 cap on the falcon board to calm it down, but it might come out sounding metallic like but it might be suitable. I have the same issues with the JAMMA switcher with an inverted solution with my vector labs setup. Invert + invert + amp + amp makes for a poor picture and bad sound.
