I just picked up a Ms. Pac-man upright (finally) but it came with a regular black happ bat top stick. I see places like arcadeshop etc carry Ms. Pac sticks but they are microswitch. Mikesarcade carries a leaf switch joystick but it says there is no adapter/mounting option for Ms. Pac.

Should I just grab a microswitch joystick and learn to love it? Or is there another source out there for the real sticks?

Definitely a real one. When the repro grommets are ready, I'm going on an assembly line joystick rebuilding campaign. All new switches and grommets this fall, woot!

thanks...I ordered the ebay one and will pick up a new grommet when they're ready. Now I just need a cpo and figure out how to get it back to playing regular speed.

The speed up option is a chip swap. If you have the speed version, mikesarcade.com has the original chip for sale. Another option is to PM Riptor, who may be able to burn a new chip for you (I went this route, Riptor was awesome).

Ms Pacman CP Overlays are available from phoenixarcade.com, and I think the actual CP might be available from arcadeshop.com.

This is microswitch, but you can get leaf replacement switches pretty cheap.

yeah I just want to make sure what exactly I have in there first...whether it's just the speed up chip, or a daughterboard with different options I can toggle, etc.

Leaf replacement switches?

Just by an original stick. Plenty out there.. Leaves are the way to go, micros don't feel right.. Unless you like click, click, click, click..

As for replacement leaves.. U can use pinball leaves, just need a little modification..
