I just picked up a fantastic set of Magic Sliders. They're the 2 3/8" concave ones (model #04600). They were a perfect fit for the leg levelers on my Centipede. They pretty much snapped onto the feet, and stayed in place.

I can still adjust the height and level the game, it slides really well on the carpet, and the game doesn't slip off them while I'm pushing it around.

I've tried those Harbor Freight ones under my big old Sony tv and stand and they didn't slide worth beans. Perhaps if I had nailed or glued them to the bottom of the cabinet they might have worked better. Those magic sliders are pretty good though.

How sensitive are these things? Like if someone is watching you play and they lean against the game, will it slide?

Not with the ones that I've used.

You still have to push pretty hard but it's infinitely easier than not having them.

Word of advice regarding these things.. I use them for my pinballs and my Big Blue..

If you have "hardwood" floors, you may find out that they're not as "hard" as you thought once you start sliding these things around. Sweep first. If you dont, they will pick up EVERYTHING that's on your floor, get lodged in the PTFE/plastic, and then SCRATCH THE HELL out of your floor.

Just saying.

These don't slide at all with any weight on them. I don't think they have anything in the plastic to slide. Just plain smooth plastic. I got a multipack like this cheap, and threw them out they were so bad!

Interesting. I have these on a bunch of games and they work great. I use the little ones on the games that have leg levelers and the big ones on games that didn't have levelers. Now they are all on carpet. I don't know how they would work on hard surfaces.

I have the ones off TV back when they were new. Work great, and there are 4 under my Christmas tree right now. We decorate it in the middle of the room, them slide it into the corner.

When you first put them on, a leaning looker could make it slide. Once it makes a depression, it will take a little to get it moving. As for hardwood, linoleum, etc. *anything* that doesn't roll can make serious scratches. You're better off using upside down carpet squares or felt feet on hardwood.

I think I got magic sliders or the equivalent off-brand (round kind) from Hope Depot and they worked well. They move games easy on carpet.

BUT......

DON'T get Handy Trends Sliding Robots. These are simply awful. I bought two packs of them b/c they were so cheap and they don't slide worth a crap, and make a horrible squeaking noise on berber-like carpet. Wish I still had the receipt.

I agree that all sliders are not created equally.

For sliders for leg levelers on carpet:

1) Ones that are thicker/harder plastic are better. Thin plastic will warp under weight, causing the item to not move well. The Magic Sliders pictured in the first post are very good.
2) You don't want to oversize your sliders; you want them only slightly larger (1/4" or so) than what they're protecting the floor from. Don't use the giant ones on a small leg leveler; the weight will indent them right through the middle.
3) I wouldn't recommend any with foam on top for leg levelers. Better to get adhesive or snap on type.

I buy the cheap 8 for 8 buck pack at Home Depot and it makes a WORLD of difference scooting cabs around on carpet.

+2. I use them on my berber carpeting in the basement. I bought 1 pair of leg levelers with them "built in" and they suck. The edges are too sharp and they just dig into the carpet. A set of new leg levelers and these babies do the trick every time!

I just tried some of the large Harbor Freight pads under my Donkey Kong. Not nearly as good. It's actually easier to slide my Centipede with the above ones, than it is to slide my DK with the HF ones....
