OK, I have read several threads and seen many conflicting opinions on joysticks. I thought I'd post my specific issues to try and narrow down the recommendations.

I have a cocktail with the arcadeshop programmable multiboard installed, and the Ultimarc J-stiks (4/8-way switchable with rotatable plate). Most games are 4-way, so I have the 4-way setting. Problem is, it doesn't hit corners very well on games like Bagman, the Pacman games, etc.

So, which joystick will work well with this board, and turn corners smoothly? It sucks getting stuck when trying to turn! Optimally one stick would work best for 4- and 8-way games, but emphasis is on the 4-ways, of course. Thx!!

OK, after more searching I found a joystick specs comparison chart. It looks like the J-stik has a very wide range of diagonal engagement (60 degrees?), which could explain certain 4-way games getting "stuck" a ;ot on corners.

So, I'm looking at the Happ Competition stick--has a much narrower diagonal range and seems to get good reviews. Plus, it happens to be cheap! (Under $10) Does anyone use these sticks in a multi cab? Or, would a Happ Super joystick be better? It has a smaller angle to engage than the Competition, according to the review chart. Any thoughts would be welcome!
