Best (inexpensive) switcher power supply? WeiYa / Happ / Others?

I posted this in the ArcadeSD thread, but realize I have at least 4 circuit boards worth over $200 each being run by 15-20 year old used, dirty, switch-mode power supplies, some of which make noise, some swapped in when the previous older/dirtier one suddenly died or did someting strange. I realized that a $300 board should not be fed power from something that could potentially destroy it when it failed and though I should do a bulk buy of some power supplies to lower costs and help me sleep better :)

So, most of the basic 15A 5V supplies run about $25, and buy a few and you can keep prices around $24 to $28 including shipping, not bad to protect 10x-15x that in parts.

Looking around I see a few key supplies and was wondering what the experts (Ken and others) feel is worthy of my money:

1) WeiYa P03(C) or older WY-03(C) series? (not sure what is different) Neither seem to be CE/CUL "safety rated" though but the P03C does show CE on a pic but thats of the one with numeric LED

2) Suzo/Happ Power Pro 110 watt (has warning saying must have 1A draw on +5V -- which is an issue for the multi-boards, right? No warning on the WeiYa but docs are in Chinese)

3) Suzo/Happ Chinese clone? 104 watt (higher 12V (4A)) -- same output level warning

4) Suzo/Happ Power Pro 130 watt (higher 12V (4A)) -- again output level warning

5) "Min Dong" :)

That Chinese happ clone one has no -5v but 24v.
That wouldn't work for a board needing -5v.

I wouldn't be too fussy about the brand, all of them are cheap Chinese rubbish. I personally use the Wei Ya's and haven't had any problems with them. I could not recommend a Happ as I bought one brand new and within a month the case was covered in surface rust.

every game at my work that needed a power supply replacement received a Happ Power Pro (in various form factors). and I'd like to report that even the ones with 3 years of use, none of them formed surface rust on them.

I'm glad that your Wei-Ya's are working out wonderfully for you.

I bought 5 or so used from Todd (TNT) and was pretty happy, all brands. I think out of those I did get 1-2 that had some faults. I'd do it again at his prices!

you couldn't pay me enough money to use anything Wei-Ya

Agreed. I had to finally put a PC power supply in a friend's Candy Cabinet when the "new" Wei-Ya power supply, which they stopped making, died and we couldn't get any kind of support or help in fixing it.
