Im turning my garage into an arcade and Ill have room now for a air hockey table. Does anyone know whats a good quality air hockey table thats the most like a arcade one. I wanna spend around 500$

Do your best to find a used Dynamo, they were sold as both coin operated and professional grade home models. They are the same size as an 8 foot pool table, but will give you the puck speed and experience that you desire. The new home versions retail for around $2,200 but discounters will sell them for about $1,800. You SHOULD be able to find a coin-op version for closer to your price range. The $500 "new" tables will not have as much airflow volume or as many holes in the table. They will also use smaller pucks. Good luck in your search...

Yeah, $500 is a pretty good budget these days for top-quality tables. People are suffering financially out there and they're looking to dump huge space-killers as they downsize. I really like TheShanMan's table. I think he scored it for around $300 or so.

$500 is plenty for a nice air hockey table. I paid $150 for my Dynamo hot flash it glows in the dark and looks killer in the Gameroom with all the backlights on. The original owner thought the air blower motor was out and it turned out to be a sensor on the coin door that activates the air. Many times people move and don't want to take their air hockey tables with them because of the size and weight so they sell them super cheap good luck with your finds.

Definitely wait and get a used Dynamo. They don't show up often in some areas. I got one but paid over $500. It is a brown top. You won't find a home model that compares. You'll want the real deal for the full sized pucks and mallets as well as air flow. Not to mention table size. There is a 7' version from Dynamo but get the 8'. It will play different, higher resale value, and is the only regulation size.

They weight about 400 pounds. To get it into my basement I hired a moving company. They had a hard time with it but got it there. They didn't like to hear it was 400 pounds :) Seems I reminded them too much. They were trying to tell themselves it was light...lol.

I would like an nice hockey table too, but want one of the smaller tables due to space. I have seen some on location that had the score on a bar that runs over the top with neon lights, etc. That has a cool look and would be good for the arcade. :)

I found a nice deal locally for a home 7 ft version, almost new for only 80$, originally 899$, im not sure if i would be happy with it

I have a 7' and it plays just fine for us. Of course you wont get the exact same expierience as a Dynamo, but it comes pretty close.

Will standard pucks work with it, I wanna get some uv ones. Be honest is 7 enjoyable? Hows the air flow

Im looking at this one, the lady already said basically come get it, looks like a well built set, i hate cheap looking legs and these look beafy

I'd go for it. Looks decent to me. Unless you get a Dynamo, your almost guaranteed to be using the smaller pucks. Unless youve played the hell out of air hockey in the arcades you probably wont be missing much. Air flow is just fine for us, no dead spots. We use furniture polish on it every once in awhile. I will say the right puck can and will make a difference. We were using plain black pucks and had the occasional bounce. Now we use the heavier transparent red pucks (I think Sportcraft makes them) and it stays on the table alot better.

You can see it in a couple of my videos. Mines not under a blacklight, but I'm sure you can find the blacklight pucks and pushers your wanting on eBay or Amazon or something.

My table is built by Chicago Gaming, just FYI.
