Guys what is a good entry level scope to diagnose vector monitors? my cinematronics has missaligned vectors and my shotgun approach is not paying off :(. I want to look for something used but havent got a clue what im doing.

If you want to go used, keep an eye out for a fluke or tectronix. A working 2 channel can be found for $150-$200 pretty easily. You can get them cheaper if you are willing to be patient.

If you are going to be working on a vector monitor with it, I would recommend looking for one that allows XY plotting (plots channel 1 against channel 2, rather than both against time).

I have a tec 465 that I use for everyday work. Works great even though it is 25-30 years old.

There was a guy on Ebay selling off the equipment from some lab recently. I picked up a dual channel tek scope for $65 shipped. He may still be doing it. If not, there will be another one soon.
