The latest Gameroom Mag had an article that hit a soft spot for me, EM Arcade Games, and got me to thinking about all the various titles I've played. How about you guys? What are your favorite EM Arcade games of all time? There is tons of talk about the vids so how about some love for their predicessors. What are your favorites? How about your top 3?

1. Chopper
2. Stunt Pilot
3. S.A.M.I.

and close is Motochamp

Sega Basketball is a pretty amazing 2-player game. They have one at the penny arcade in Manitou Springs, CO. But unfortunately one side is handicapped compared to the other, so one player always has a huge advantage. I'd love to find one of these in good condition.

I'd also really like to get a Killer Shark since it was in Jaws, and Fire Chief since you shoot real water. But I haven't played either of these, so I guess they don't count. It's too bad these machines are so rare. All I've seen sell around here are a few lame rifle EM games.

1970 Sega Jet Rocket.

Sega had some great EM games. I picked this one up at the indy auction for $25. It works, except the shots are currently not registering and it needs a new speaker. The chrome metal timer and the day glow 3d landscape that floats by is pretty cool. I think it weighs nearly a quarter of a ton.

When is KLOV going to allow pictures to uploaded again. Jet Rocket needs some picture loving.

I haven't played a ton of them, but I was impressed with Sega's "Combat" from around 1970. The overall look and sounds, and just the feel of the game is awesome. I played it last year at the half moon arcade in Weirs Beach, NH.
