BEST DEAL - COSTA MESA super auctions back in 2007....... towards the end of the auction they were blowing games out for nuthin.... it was gettin late, they still had games in the overflow outside area for bid, started blowin' em out for a buck a piece (per lot!). most of the games were projects/missing parts. it was one of the best auctions i had ever been to.....

i kept my old receipt because it was just classic ;)

holy f$&k!!!

I don't know $1.22 seems a little high for 8 games. I mean that's like .15 a game. I bet you could have gotten a better deal like .10 a game if you'd have tried harder.

deal

he did get them for 10c ea, tax and fee's were the rest, lol
id luv to be around when rob has to explain to the sellers why those games got 10c

you know.... some of the games were missing pcbs and/or monitors. i gave the tempest mini to my buddy dave for helping me load the games that night. traded the asteroids to my buddy keith in exchange for fixing some other things for me. he got the asteroids working too.

that was a crazy auction. i remember seeing qbert, black widow, busted up irobot, spy hunters, gotcha, dragons lair projects, trons, star wars, tons of cocktails, all outside. i think the auction finally ended around 10pm at night. oh, the asteroids deluxe #002 was also bought at this auction. i wish i had more room to bid on more of the games they had that day/night. sadly, the compton auctions will probably never compare to the good ol' cm auctions. chris

today! scored a nice pole postion upright and a lethal enforcers (not dedicated, in a nintendo super system cab) for the sweet price of free! the lethal enforcers isnt working yet, i just ordered a new power supply and the pp is working but i plan on replacing the wire harness...

I've gotten some great deals over the years. They are usually goof after the fact though, because they need work.

Best Vid deal: Paperboy - $67
I got three games for $200: Paperboy, Outrun, and Badlands (Atari)
All three were not working. Paperboy ending up being that the +5 on the power board was bad. Jumpered it to the switcher and I was in business.

Best Pin Deal: Lethal Weapon 3 - $300
Didn't work allegedly. Got it home, put the right number of balls in it, then played a few games fully working except for one kickout. Then it was downhill though. The board was hacked to crap, and stopped working soon after. I went through repair hell, and broked down to buy a new cpu. Also needed a new DMD before all was said and done. In the end I restored it to great condition and sold it for $1200.

Best missed deal. There's been a few. At the beginning of the month, someone in Columbus posted a Who's Tommy pin allegedly HUO for $400 in perfect condition on Craigslist. I wrote in, but figured it was a joke since it was on April 1st. Best case I figured it was actually broke and beat to crap. Dude wrote me back like a week later saying he sold it for his asking price, but was bombarded with buyers after it was already gone. He seemed pretty pissed that he screwed himself. He did confirm it was in pretty much mint condition though. He won it from a radio contest back when it was brand new. Anyone on here get that one?

It'd be nice if someone would pass their "best deals" luck my way.Have never even come close to a great deal. The only thing I can even say that was remotely close to a deal was that I got this seller on CL to come down off his price of $425 to $385 on a perfectly working Marvel Super Heroes game. What a bargain basement price!!!:004_ssleepy:
